Richard A. Dobbins

Richard was born in Colfax, to Charles and Ruby Dobbins, and grew up in Weimar. He went home with the Lord from a stroke at Roseville Sutter Hospital.
He attended schools in Weimar and Placer High School in Auburn.
Richard served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict in Oahu. He worked various jobs in the Weimar and Colfax area. Employed by Suburban Propane as a truck driver for 27 years. He was active in the American Legion as an Honor Guard. He attended First Baptist Church in Auburn.
Survived by his wife Anna (Rice, Wittich) Dobbins, for 26 years. Daughters by previous marriage, Denise Jackson (John) of Weimar, and Crystal Dobbins, brother Robert Dobbins, sisters, Doris Eudey, Marjorie Jenkins, and Barbara Switzer. Predeceased by, daughter Corrine Dobbins, and sister Mildred Barbieri.
Burial will be held at Sacramento Valley Veterans National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
Celebration of life to be held at First Baptist Church in Auburn, Calif., on July 12, 2014.
