AUGUSTA, Ga. - Daniel Fulton Poole, III, 79, husband of 59 years to Sarah Johnson Poole, entered into rest Monday, August 26, 2013, at his residence. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 2:00 PM from Hillcrest Memorial Park with Dr. Gordon Robinson officiating. Family and friends are requested to assemble at the graveside. Mr. Poole, son of the late Daniel and Frances J. Poole, Jr, was born in Opelika, AL. He graduated from Athens High School and attended the University of Georgia. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a Warehouse Manager for Asplundh Tree Company, a Sales Representative for Sun Electric Corporation, and as an Instructor at Aiken Technical College. He loved to play his harmonica and to make H.O. Train layouts. He shot pool on a "Pool League" and bowled on the 250 League at Master Bowling Lane. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Poole Currie; his sisters and brothers in law, Bobbie P. Harvey and William, and Jacque P. Rambo and Bill; and his nephew, Vic Harvey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Robert Poole, Michael Poole and his wife, Sandy, and Kirk Poole; his daughter, Dana Poole Wilkins and her husband, James; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, five nephews, and two nieces.
