UMC Minister/Professor AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest April 8, 2013 at her residence, Dr. Delphine Anita Bozardt. Anita was a very gifted and talented Educator and Minister. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Doctorate degree in Science and degrees in Education. She was an Ordained Methodist Minister and served in the Georgia and S.C. conferences. She retired June 2011. Anita served in 1986 as an Ambassador to China for the U.S. government, touring interior of China for two weeks. She set up programs of Education in Katmandu, Nepal for the United States in three Universities. She was a member of National Science Teachers since 1965 and was listed in World Who's Who of Women in Education in 1977. She was a member of the League of Women Voters and American Association of University Women. Anita was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Augusta, Ga. Anita is survived by sisters, Carolyn B. Evans of Fayetteville, Ga. and Alice Evelyn Bozardt of Roswell, Ga. Her brothers George W. Bozardt, III and Dealie E. Bozardt preceded her death. Many nieces, nephews and cousins will miss her. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 100 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC, 29501, Rev. Mark McClendon officiating.
