AUGUSTA, Ga. - Memorial Services for Mr. John Joseph Jack Keane, III, 74, of St. John's Towers, Greene Street, Augusta, Georgia, who entered into rest April 21, 2013, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Mr. Keane was a native of Chicago, Illinois having made the North Augusta-Augusta area his lifelong residence. He was of the Catholic faith, a former member of the US Army Reserve, a former South Carolina Highway Patrolman and a retired salesman with Southern Beverage. Mr. Keane was an avid fisherman and a former member of the River Rat Bassmasters Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Bernice Keane and brother, Michael Keane. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracy Dorr, North Augusta and Kellie and Ashley Ergle, Modoc; four grandchildren, Ash Ergle, Abbie Ergle, Jesse Dorr and Caroline Dorr; two sisters and their husbands, Ellen and Buck Tyler, Edgefield and Connie and George Olney, Mt. Dora, Florida. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorials may be made to the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, 1101 15th Street, Augusta, Georgia 30901.
