HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Judy Jackson Flowers, 61, affectionately known as Judy , entered eternal rest on August 1, 2014. Funeral Service will be held at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Rosa Williams officiating. Judy was born to Rev. Isaiah Jackson Jr. and Doreather A. Walker Jackson in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York on June 22, 1953. The sixth of eight children, Judy graduated from Hempstead High School, obtained an Associate s Degree from Southland University in Paralegal Service, and was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army after twenty years of dedicated service to her country. Judy was also a talented self-taught seamstress, enjoyed planting and gardening, and especially enjoyed going on cruises with her devoted husband. A faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Judy is survived by her husband of 34 years Fredrick (Fred) J. Flowers Sr., her children Fredrick J. (La-Tunya) Flowers Jr. of Clay, AL; Felicia Flowers of Augusta, GA; Nikesha (Donald) Knox-Welfel of Leesburg, VA; Natonia Flowers of Houston, TX; and Verdene (Jerome) Dismuke of Omaha, NE. Judy has seven siblings: Earline Jackson-Newsome of Greenville, SC; Douglas (Jean) Jackson of Freeport, NY; Wilburt (Laura) Jackson (deceased), Isalee Jackson-Shorter of Glen Allen, VA; Loreather (Lamont) Jackson-Williams of Elmont, NY; Vera Ann (Owen) Gadeken of Alexandria, VA; and Jon Len (Denise) Jackson of Woodbridge, VA. Judy has nine grandchildren, eight nieces, two nephews, one great grandson, and host of other beloved relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service. Williams Funeral Home, 2945 Old Tobacco Rd. Hephzibah, GA
