(Tom) MACON, Ga. - Tom Olmer, age 68, passed away February 17, 2013 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Greensburg, PA, and raised in Norvelt, PA. Following graduation from Saint Vincent College, he joined the U.S. Army and was honourably discharged as a First Lieutenant. He obtained a Masters degree from Purdue University and a Masters degree from Georgia State University. Tom worked continuously in various healthcare management positions until his retirement as a Sr. Vice President with Central Georgia Health Systems in 2004. While employed at CGHS, Tom was active in both civic and service organizations, including Kiwanis, where he served as both President and Lt. Governor. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Brown Olmer and his stepdaughter Katherine Limer of Macon; his mother, Doris Kull Olmer, and his sister Nancy Cisick and her husband Andy Baumgartner of Augusta, GA; his sister-in-law and her husband, Jill and Keith McCrary of Albany, GA; and aunts, Pat Olmer and Lorraine Kull plus numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 21st, 2013 at 11:00AM at Hillview Cemetery in Greensburg, PA. Memorial donations may be made to the
