David Lujan Borunda Jr. Obituary
David Lujan Borunda Jr. August 27, 1937 - April 19, 2013 Born in San Thomas, New Mexico; enlisted on September 01, 1954, at 17yrs, in the Navy, Airdales-Airwing and on May 1958 was honorably discharged. Served during Korean Era and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #97. He married his beloved wife in 1958. He worked as a butcher for Ken Vibe, Lamont County Fair Market and graduated Bakersfield College, attended Cal State Bakersfield. Worked Elk Hills as an Electrical Supervisor. He retired as an Electrical Contractor from David Borunda Electric. He enjoyed life, worked hard and loved God, family, and friends. He loved his golf, going camping, and dancing. He was always the life of the party and made everyone feel welcomed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Eva "Rachel" Borunda; son Michael Borunda (Charlene); daughters Deborah Heer (Ricky), Laura Borunda, and Rebecca Essman(Richard); grandchildren Leonard Hernandez (Bebe), Wesley Bogges (Dawna), Alexzandria Gilliam (Nick), and Aliya Borunda; great grandchildren Maleana Hernandez and Ricky Moch; siblings Armando Borunda (Linda). Wilma Gaither (Jim), Cecelia Garcia, Ted Parker (Lori); and numerous family members. David is preceded in death by his mother Concepcion Lujan and father David Borunda Sr. Thank you to wonderful family, friends, and Hoffman Hospice for their caring support.
