David William Hepler August 18, 1924 - April 12, 2013 David was born in West Newton, PA on August 18, 1924. His parents were Samuel B. Hepler and Katherine "Bibby" Hepler. He had two bothers James and Kenneth Hepler. He also had a half brother Alan Gordon. He grew up in L.A. and joined the Navy in WWII. He was a civilian for a short time and worked at A.O. Smith Electric where he met mom. They were married ten days later. Dad re-enlisted, this time he joined the Air Force for the Korean War. He had many medals, ribbons, certificates and a Bronze Star. After retiring from the military, he built Hughes helicopters for the VietNam War. He built Dc 10's for Convair. He was married to Ima Faye Perkins Hepler for 66 years. They had two children Marilyn Suzanne and Michael David. They have five granchildren and six great grandchildren. Dad enjoyed R.V. traveling, camping, photography and he liked to remodel. He went home to Jesus on April 12, 2013. We love you Daddy, Forever. He will be buried with mom in San Diego with full military honors.
