Donald Max Little November 10, 1931 - December 14, 2013 Don was born in Bakersfield to William Little and Myrtle Little. After school he then joined the U.S. Coast Guard, based out of San Diego. After 4 years of service, he returned to Bakersfield and went to work for Oscar Rudnick, managing Kern Valley Meat Packing Plant for several years. Don was an avid outdoorsmen and spent a lot of his "time off" in the Sierras and Sequoias fishing & hunting. Don loved to fly & acquired his pilot's license and spent many hours flying for pleasure and business. Then in 1978 he and his wife Martha started the business Sonitrol Security together which consisted of nine branches from the Valley up to and including the Bay area in California. When it came time to retire and keep his wheels on the ground, he bought an RV and traveled until 2012. Don is survived by his wife, Martha Little; his children Larry Little (wife Shelli), Donna Little, Lori Higgins and Brad Hackney; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Don will be remembered for his easy smile, his love of an active lifestyle, and the numerous capabilities that came amazingly natural to him. He will be greatly missed.
