Gary Michael Johnston "Mickey" October 22, 1947 - October 10, 2013 Mickey passed away October 10th, due to failing health. He was born and raised in Bakersfield, attended local schools, and was a graduate of South High School. He served three tours in Vietnam, earning the Purple Heart. He worked for Pacific Bell for 27 years where strong bonds were made with his crew; they were family. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jenny. Sons: Randy, Gene Hanson, Gary Jr., and Tim. Brother Bill (Barbara ), mother-in-law June Ennis, sisters-in- law Bev Hayden (Rod), Judy Wittig (David), brothers-in-law Tony and Tim Ennis. Nine nieces/nephews, 11 great nieces/nephews, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way. He leaves behind so many wonderful people. Please keep him in your hearts and remember all the good times you shared with him. Rest in peace precious angel. I will miss the way your face would light up when I walked into a room.
