Albert H. Tucker III Notice


On Tuesday, June 24th, at age 67, Albert H. Tucker, III, also known as "Butch" by many, passed away at his home in Oliver Beach. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Joan (nee Praley). He is also survived by his loving mother, Mae Tucker, of Oliver Beach, his mother-in-law Carol Praley, sister-in-law Joyce Praley-Frederick and husband Michael of PA., niece Dawn Tucker of AZ, and beloved cousin Diane Sheridan. He was predeceased by his father, Albert H. Tucker, Jr., and his younger brother, Donald Tucker. Al served his country in the United States Air Force as an electronics specialist, working on F-4 fighter jets in support of the Vietnam War. He was a patriotic veteran all his life. Al had a long career in the automobile industry, and held several managerial positions. At the end of his career, he worked as a computer analyst for the Federal Government. Al was truly a Renaissance man. He enjoyed many hobbies, including electronics, audio, photography, archery, hunting, fishing and collecting. Al had a special interest in fabricating and flying radio-controlled aircraft. He was also an accomplished artist who loved pencil sketching. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, located on Bird River Road.
