Cornelius Webster Abbott Notice

ABBOTT , Cornelius Webster On September 6, 2013 Cornelius Webster Abbott died at Keswick Memory Care. Born March 3, 1922 in Baltimore to Mary Mish Abbott and John Mengel Abbott. He attended the Gilman School and Haverford College graduating in 1944. Webster serve in the Naval Air Corp during the WWII and continued to fly for another 20 years. He started his own commercial real estate firm, Abbott Associates, in 1964. He was an active member of the National Exchange Club of Maryland for many years. He and his wife Margaret Hawkins Abbott, who passed away on February 1st of this year, were long time members of the Hopkins Club and the Maryland Club. Mr. Abbott is survived by his four children, Aline A. Ybarra of Gilbert, AZ, John Abbott of Louisville, KY, Jesse Abbott of Scarborough, ME and Carrie A. Moore of Ridgefield, CT and by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held for both Webster and Margaret Abbott, Saturday, September 28, at 2pm at the Church of the Redeemer, 5603 N Charles St, Baltimore. Gifts in Webster's memory may be made to the Gilman School, 5407 Roland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21210.
