Dominic Paul Valente Notice


On July 4, 2014, Dominic Paul Valente, 89, of Parkville; Beloved husband of Pauline M. Valente; devoted father of Donna Zurowski and husband Neil, Gloria Valente, Carla Valente and husband Brian Kuyawa; cherished grandfather of Clark Zurowski, Nick Zurowski, Mitchell Clemens and Sean Clemens; dear brother of Viola Whetzel and Irma Tolnai. Mr. Valente was a veteran of the US Army who served in Northern France the Ardennes and the Rhineland. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and was awarded a Bronze Star Victor Medal. After the war he came to Baltimore and under the GI bill he studied trumpet and graduated from the Peabody Institute. He lead the Twiliters where he played the trumpet and entertained guests at the American Legion, other local groups, retirement centers and private affairs well into his 80's. Dominic was a long time Usher at Immaculate Heart of Mary. Family and friends will honor Dominic's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services - Parkville, 8800 Harford Rd. on Monday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A funeral liturgy will be held 9 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary. Interment Parkwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dominic's name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
