SHARKEY , Siobhan Sophia Born July 3, 1965, Washington, DC; died December 18, 2012, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Siobhan was the founding principal of Health Management Strategies, Inc., a healthcare consulting group established in 1996 in Austin, TX, where she resided. Siobhan grew up in Baltimore, MD, attending Roland Park Country School for 12 years, graduating in 1983. She attended Yale University, receiving a BA degree in 1987, and Wharton School of Business, where she received an MBA in 1991. Throughout her life and to the end of her heroic battle against cancer, Siobhan uplifted us with her vibrancy, optimism, and compassion. Siobhan is survived by her parents, Robert and Phoebe of Washington, DC; and her siblings, Edward, Catherine and James; sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Ina; nieces, Anne, Elizabeth and Phoebe; and nephews, Frederick and Caleb.
A private Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church of Georgetown, Washington, DC followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery County, MD. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore, MD on January 19 at 10 am .
