Arthur "Butch" Williams, 66, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1948 in Battle Creek, the son of Lester and Mary "Pat" (Hobbs) Williams. Butch served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Grand Trunk Railroad for 42 years before his retirement in 2010. Butch was a member of the American Legion Post #298. He was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He enjoyed wintering in Melbourne Beach, FL after his retirement.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy King, Tracy Williams, Rheanna (Joshua)  Fausey, Alicia Williams and Shara Williams; his life partner of 5 years whom he made his home with, Debbie Viall and her 2 sons, Trent and Gavin; siblings, Kathleen  Robbins, Alice Asmus and Donald  Williams; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Joseph and Thomas Williams.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM AM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Rev. James L. Sparks officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to American Legion Post #298 or .
