John William Kemp, 82
John William "Jack" Kemp, 82, of Paragould, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at his home. He was born April 16, 1931, in Stadra, Arkansas. He was a Korean War Veteran, and a member of East Side Baptist Church. Mr. Kemp was a former deacon at Mt. Home, Arkansas and a retired Pharmacist. He loved fishing and playing golf and was an avid reader.
Survivors include his son, Dr. Clarence Leonard (Denise) Kemp of Paragould; daughters, Deborah Jean (Terry) Hardison of Sherwood, Arkansas and Rebecca Sue (Dr. Bill) Warren of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kyle (Kelli) Hardison of Sherwood, Sarah Hardison of Arlington, Tennessee, Justin (Emerald) Kemp of Paragould, Jenna Warren of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Sid Warren of Sherwood, Laura Warren of Little Rock; great grandchildren, Denver Hardison McElreath of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Pearl Evette Kemp of Paragould; brothers-in-law, Leonard (Harriet) Kerr of Texarkana, Texas, Dr. Robert, (Mary Anne) Kerr of Little Rock; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jean Elizabeth Kerr Kemp; his parents, Clarence and Johnie Robert Florence Troy Kemp; one brother, Clarence Robert (Betty) Kemp; and a grand daughter, Allison Marie Kemp.
There was a graveside service at Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas with Bro. Dennis Scudder officiating. Visitation was Sunday at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.
