Raymond Glenn Williams, 82

Raymond Glenn Williams, age 82, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living Center in Flippin, Arkansas.

Mr. Williams was born in Flippin, Arkansas August 9, 1931 to the late Charlie and Edith "Dott" (Smothers) Williams. He was a Korean War veteran, and retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 30 years as an engineer. He was a former Marion County Justice of the Peace and a member of Marion County Farm Bureau, and he liked raising his own cattle. He had lived in Flippin all his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Flippin.

He is survived by two daughters: Glenna Cruz and her husband, Dion; and Linda Lane and her husband, Jimmy, all of Flippin; six grandchildren: Kristen Wilkes, Kail Wilkes, Vanessa Cruz, Arik Cruz, Kaylee Lane, and Emma Lane; and an aunt, Lucy Young of Jenks, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith in 2011; his parents; and a son-in-law, David Wilkes.

Visitation for Mr. Williams will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Flippin, Arkansas with Bro. Steve Martin and Bro. Jack Jefferson officiating.

Interment will follow at Flippin Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Bert Benton, Mike Treat, Max Wilkins, Sony Wood, Hal Hurst, Dale Query, Kail Wilkes, and Arik Cruz.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living Center.
