A Funeral Service for Richard Stanley Domagalski of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jimmie Snow officiating. The Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Memorial Service will be provided by the Elk's Lodge #1714 BPOE. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service.
Richard passed away February 20, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. He was born December 8, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Stanley and Sophie Migas Domagalski. He graduated from St. Rita's Catholic High School and married Margaret on November 12, 1956 at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a electrician for the IBEW Local 134. He was also a police officer for the Chicago Police Department. Richard was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and lived in Mountain Home since 1990, moving from Chicago. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Elks.
Richard is survived by his two sons, Kenny (Mary) Domagalski of Tinley Park, IL and Bob (Jane) Domagalski of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Carol (Shmed Meadows) Domagalski of Mountain Home, AR: eleven grandchildren, Christy, Lori, Richard, John, Eric, Jeremy, Mike, Dustin, Samantha, Robert R. and Nicole; two great-granddaughters and two sisters, Dorothy Domagalski of Milwaukee, WI and Connie Krueger of South Side Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Rita Laczefski.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard.
