William S. (Bill) Riley, 88
William S. (Bill) Riley, age 88, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Mountain Home. He was born in the state of Oregon and lived in many different states and countries around the world.
Mr. Riley was a Law Enforcement officer for most of his adult life. After moving to Arkansas from Ohio 20 years ago, he worked as a security guard for Baxter Regional Medical Center and was a reserve deputy for both Marion and Baxter County Sheriffs Departments. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII, earning many awards including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Masonic Lodge and NRA.
Mr. Riley is survived by his wife of 38 years: Barbara, a sister: Joanne in Ohio, two daughters: Tashina and husband Oscar in Iowa and Marisa in New Mexico, two stepchildren: Rick and wife Debbie in Ohio and Debbie in Fairview, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many beloved dogs.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
Memorial services will be private.
