Betty Jo Watts Carter passed away on June 7th, surrounded by those who loved her dearly and friends. She is survived by RH Carter, married for 65 years, three children, two grandchildren and one great grandchild, one brother and sister. Betty taught in the Beaumont and Lumberton School districts for 29 years. She loved life and lived every day to the fullest. She loved to laugh and be the life of the party. She loved to travel and shop with her friends. Betty fought a courageous battle with breast cancer fighting for every single day that God had given her. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Birdwell and staff for all the love and care given to Betty and family. She always thought they were angels given to help her.
