Christopher Dylan Bynum, 19 of Friendswood, Texas, was called to heaven due to an auto-pedestrian accident in Austin, Texas, early Monday morning, October 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Drive, Friendswood, Texas; Father Maurice Moe Linehan, M.S., Celebrant. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church, with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Dylan was a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. He was an accomplished musician and writer, looking forward to pursuing further studies in writing, at the time of his death. Dylan loved playing ice hockey and played his final season last year with the Roadrunners at the University of Texas at San Antonio, before transferring to U. T. Austin. Dylan is survived by his parents, Todd and Carolyn Bynum; brother, Garrett Bynum; grandmothers, Dessie Crow and Ita Cornwell of Beaumont, Texas; uncle, Gregg Crow and life partner, Susan Porter of Amarillo, Texas; uncle, Robert Bynum of Beaumont, Texas; aunt, Brenda Legendre and husband, Dane of Beaumont, Texas; and numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers are Garrett Bynum, Trey Gonzales, Kitchel Weitekamp, Lucas Beven, James Stell, and Alex Blomstedt.
