Edward Kanewske A Mass of Christian Burial Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Luke Catholic Church with Father Louis Palvicek officiating. Entombment will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. Mr. Kanewske died Sunday at his residence. Mr. Kanewske was born in Beaumont to Edward Raymond Kanewske, Sr. and Jewel Delores Dinan Kanewske. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an Army Reservist. He graduated from Texas A & M University in 1949. He married Mary Helen Eden December 27, 1946. She preceded him in death October 1, 2006. He worked as an Industrial Engineer for Texaco. He lived in the Port Arthur and Houston areas before moving to Temple in 1992. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and Toastmasters. Survivors include his son Craig Kanewske of Austin; his daughter Debbie Van Orden of Temple; one half- brother Tom Dinan of Washington; one brother Joe Kanewski of Tyler; one sister Doris Whitmire of Belton; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio- Harper Funeral Home.
