Isiah Volrie, Jr., 65, of Beaumont, TX departed this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wenesday, August 21, 2013 at Paradise Baptist Church with entombment at Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Marine Corps and he served during the Vietnam War. Ike was gainfully employed with Texaco/Huntsman Refinery as a Shift Supervisor, after 30 plus years of service he retired. Upon retiring he worked at Lamar University for T.A.L.H. and the Lamar Police Dept. as a Community Service Officer. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 37 and half years, Earnestine Volrie; son, Isiah Volrie III(Mia); daughter, Heather Volrie; grandchildren; Chloe Volrie Nhau all of Beaumont, TX, Britney Gaines, Noel Zapata and Koby Zapata all of Houston, TX; siblings, Flora Sue Shepard, Leonard E. Volrie, Gilbert R. Volrie, Mary G. Gage and Richard Volrie all of Beaumont, TX, Walter L. Volrie of Virginia and Samuel Volrie of Baytown, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.
