Elizabeth Ann Williams Bazemore Irvine, 80, of Moneta, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Luther E. Bazemore and her parents, Isaac C. Williams and Flora Hale Williams. Elizabeth â€œBeckyâ€ was a graduate of Moneta High School and received her R.N. from Virginia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Lynchburg. She was a long standing member and officer of the Women of the Moose, Smith Mountain Lake Loyal Order of Moose, and the Smith Mountain Lake Order of Eagles. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an antique enthusiast, avid reader, and formidable bridge/rook player and she loved to dance. Becky is survived by her children, son Edward B. Irvine (Linda) and daughters Juanita (Tommy, dec), Terri Sue (Johnny) and Wendy (Charles); grandchildren, Leigh Anna, George, Henry, Tina, Kayin and Katie and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Edgar Williams (Edith), Carl Williams (Shirley, dec.) Charles Williams (Carolyn) and Carter Williams (Arlene, dec.); sisters Madeline Caldwell (Harry, dec.), Francis McLaughlin (Thomas, dec.), Catherine Overstreet, and Mary Teass (Richard). Services was held Saturday, April 26th at 10 am at Oakeyâ€™s Funeral Home, 627 Hardy Road, Vinton, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
