Chester Brammeier

Chester F. Brammeier, 86, of Caseyville, Ill., born Thursday, Jan. 19, 1928, in Pilot Knob, Ill., died Sunday, August 17, 2014, at his residence.

Chester worked as a Boiler Fireman for Pfizer. He enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Kay, nee Hetherington, Brammeier; his parents, Frederick W. and Anna E. nee Shook, Brammeier; two sons, Kirk Brammeier and Danny Brammeier, and a daughter, Cindy Brammeier.

Surviving are his daughter, Paula Tank of Caseyville, Ill.; a sister, Pearl Zimmerman of Nashville, Ill.; a daughter-in-Law, Pat Brammeier of Caseyville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Kelly Ethridge, Paul (Paula) Ethridge, Eric Brammeier, Heather Brammeier, and Joey Brammeier; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Karen Oplt officiating. Interment will follow at Caseyville City Cemetery, Caseyville, Ill.
