Donald W. Seifferth, 80, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. Don was born in Belleville, Ill., on July 11, 1933, to Emmet M. and Myrna A. (Liebig) Seifferth.
He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1955, where he was a star wheelchair basketball player, one of the "Gizz Kids". Don retired from Inland Division of General Motors after 32 years in finance and accounting, where he was an administrator of all departments including their consolidation of the fisher Body Plants.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Marcia A. (Siler). He was a devoted father to daughter Susan Farnell of Cincinnati, Ohio, and sons Todd A. (Lucy) of Franklin, Tenn., and Brian S. (Joanne) of Dublin, Ohio. The pride and joy of his life were his eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Muskopf of Columbia, Mo., and brother Emmet J. (Kathleen) Seifferth of Belleville, Ill.
