Frank Schutzenhofer Jr.

Frank J. Schutzenhofer, Jr., 84, of Belleville, Ill., born Feb. 5, 1929, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Cedar Ridge Health Care Center, Lebanon, Ill.

Frank retired after more than 20 years as a truck driver from Rut's Moving and Delivery Service, East St. Louis, Ill. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill. Frank was a Korean War Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, nee Basinski, Schutzenhofer; a son, Frank Schutzenhofer who died in infancy; his parents, Frank J. and Theresa A., nee Halwachs, Schutzenhofer; and a sister, Bertha Tojo.

Surviving are his two daughters, Cathy (Kevin) Sweeney of O'Fallon, Ill., and Chris (Robert) Wooters of Columbia, Ill.; two sons, Terry (Shari) Schutzenhofer of O'Fallon, Ill., and Paul (Terese) Schutzenhofer of Shiloh, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Sean (Mary) Sweeney, Megan (Forrest) Wester, Brandon Wooters, Eric Wooters, Ryan, Katie and Haley Schutzenhofer, Meaghan and Ashley Schutzenhofer; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Sweeney, Ronan Wester and Mora Wester; a brother, Joseph Schutzenhofer of Shreveport, La.; and a dear friend, Betty Eads of Belleville, Ill. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle and cousin.

The Schutzenhofer family wishes to thank all the friends and neighbors for their care and help over the past few years.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral procession to leave at 9:15 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, from Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill., for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with Msgr. David Darin officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.
