Frank Locandro, 89, of Collinsville, Ill., born May 25, 1925, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at Liberty Village, Maryville, Ill.
Frank was a retired postal supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a funeral assistant for the Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Ltd. Collinsville, Ill., for over 50 years, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, member of the American Legion Post 365, Collinsville, Ill., member of St. John Evangelical United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Ill., a member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed golfing and duck hunting. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore "Sam" and Carmella, nee DeMoro, Locandro; five brothers, Joseph, Tony, Armando, Fred and Alexander Locandro; and a sister, Amelia Karnages.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline, nee Romeo, Locandro of Collinsville, Ill., whom he married on June 18, 1947 in Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Diane (Jeff Fort) Locandro of Wilmette, Ill.; two grandchildren, Christopher (Catherine Johnson) Fort of Cambridge, Mass., Elizabeth Fort of Chicago, Ill.; and nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill., with full military honors.
