Glenn Huebner

Glenn G. Huebner, 77, of Columbia, Ill., born Sept. 30, 1935, in Waterloo, Ill., passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, Mo.

Glenn was a retired cement mason and member of Teamsters Local 90 - Cement Masons, Troy, Ill. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, Ill., Knights of Columbus 1334, Waterloo, Ill., and the Columbia Gymnastic Association. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mathilda, nee Weber, Huebner; brothers, William, Gene, Robert, and Paul Huebner; sister, Betty Miller; brothers-in-law, Dave Miller, Paul Frey, and Terry Bivins; and sisters-in-law, Gerry, Yvonne, and Ruth Huebner.

Surviving are his wife, Carol, nee Vogt, Huebner, whom he married Aug. 22, 1961, at Immaculate Conception Church, Columbia, Ill.; his children, Nancy (A.J.) Fleming of Valmeyer, Ill., Donna (Monty Little) Hoggard of Dacula, Ga., Tom (Jane) Huebner of Fults, Ill., Tim (Darlene) Huebner of Columbia, Ill., and Rob (Connie) Huebner of Columbia, Ill.; grandchildren, Jaime, Brandon, and Nikki Wathan, Chuck Knollman, Kaitlyn, Geoff, Kelsey, and Megan Hoggard, and Jena Little, Quinn Huebner, Claire and Cole Huebner, Brittany, Drew, and Mitchell Huebner; great-grandchildren, Austin Wathan, and Hunter Gould, Natalie Buckley, and Lilly Elrod; sister, Carol Frey of Winterville, Ga.; brother, Danny Huebner of Waterloo, Ill.; sister-in-law, Marlene Huebner of Burksville, Ill.; brother-in-law, Jim (Geri) Vogt of Columbia, Ill.; sister-in-law, Judy Bivins of East Carondelet, Ill., along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral: A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday May 20, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, Ill., with Father Carl Scherrer officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Madonnaville, Ill.
