Kenneth Frederick Lehman, 79, of Marissa, Ill., born January 27, 1933, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Lehman was a coal miner and retired from Peabody Coal Company after 38 years. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ; the United Mine Workers Local Union 1148; the American Legion Robert F. Arnold Post 172 and the Rod and Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Viola, nee Triefenbach, Lehman; two grandsons, Shannon Ray Cathcart and Kenneth Lee Ruester.
Surviving are his loving wife, Delores "Lorrie" ,nee Richardson, Lehman, whom he married on March 20, 1954 in Des Plaines, Ill.; three daughters, Michelle "Shelly" (Mark) Schneider of Pinckneyville, Ill., Susan "Susie" (Gary) Stewart of Marissa, Ill., and Mitzi Ann (Scott) Jenkel of Pinckneyville, Ill.; his grandchildren, Ryan (Crystal) Cathcart, Jayci (Mark) Papenberg, Deric (Jess) Ruester, Dillon (Savannha) Jenkel, Danielle Jenkel and Deja Jenkel; his great-grandchildren, Nolan Cathcart, Ashlyn Cathcart, Hayden Ruester, Kallie Ruester and Haven Jenkel; and a brother, Robert (Ruby) Lehman of Marissa, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, Ill., with the Rev. Gail Geisel officiating. Burial will be held at the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, Ill.
