Lowell E. Harris, 87, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 4, 1926, in Alto Pass, Ill., passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, at his residence.
Lowell was a laborer for FS Services. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd E. Harris and Edward J. Harris; his parents, Lowell and Lela, nee Lyerla, Harris; and a sister, Irene Jackson.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah (Dan) Mahurin of Higginsville, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Linda Cato; eight grandchildren, Daniel K. (Amy) Mahurin, Becky Harris, Matthew D. (Molly) Mahurin, Jami (Jason) Harris, Lindsey (Brian) Sykes, Elizabeth (Michael) Mahurin, Andrew Cato and Kayla Cato; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill. Interment with full military honors will be held at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
