Marguerite L. Hagedorn, 94, of Dupo, Ill., born June 17, 1939, in Carlinville, Ill., died on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Hagedorn was a retired janitor from the Dupo School District.
Marguerite was a lifetime member of both the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary and she was very active at Dupo School ball games and activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Hagedorn; parents, Leroy and Rose, nee Lima, Wiles; and brother, Robert Wiles.
Surviving are her daughter, Charlotte L. (Warren) Tracy; the love of her life, Joe VanOver; grandchildren, Angela (Carl) Jeffries, Bryian Macke, Morris Macke Jr., Cindy (Steven "Chumly") Kueker and Dale Macke; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made out to Jefferson Barracks or the donor's choice.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Kueker officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
