Marilyn Roedner, nee Karm, 81, of Effingham, Ill., born July 2, 1931, in Smithboro, Ill., died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at her residence.
Marilyn was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Ladies-Knights of Columbus. Marilyn loved traveling, gardening, bingo and volunteer work for various charities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Roedner; her parents, John Karm and Rotha Wilkens; her stepfather, Joe Wilkens and her stepmother, Ruth Karm; and two sisters, Minnie Hall and Della Crawford.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Kathy) Roedner of Effingham, Ill., Dale (Kathy) Roedner of Hardeeville, S.C, Mark Roedner of Hardeeville, S.C. and Denise Seiber of Pontoon Beach, Ill.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Williamson of Granite City, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
