T. Faye Hamman
T. Faye Hamman, 99, of Decatur, Ill., born Jan. 29, 1914, in Chesterfield, Ill., passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home of Southern Illinois, Edwardsville, Ill.
After graduating from Greenfield Illinois High School, Faye attended Monmouth College and graduated from the University of Illinois with an education degree. While in college, she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
Faye retired from teaching after 16 years at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School. She also taught at West Fairview in Macoupin County, Medora Elementary and Cerro Gordo High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Wade Hamman, whom she married on Christmas Day in 1940, and who died Christmas Eve in 1986; her parents, Arnold P. and Myrtle Richardson Tendick; and a sister, Martha Hamand of Charleston, Ill.
Surviving are her children, Pamela (Mike) Fisher, Patricia (Walter) Hann, and Douglas (Jan Mueller) Hamman; grandchildren, Suzanne Rauscher, Steven Rauscher, Brian (Susan) Fisher, Greg Hamman and Kelly Hamman; and great-grandson, Lucas.

Funeral: Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the Cerro Gordo Cemetery under the direction of Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Cerro Gordo, Ill.
