Thomas L. Biggs, 85, of Swansea, Ill., formerly of East St. Louis, Ill., born Sept. 20, 1928, in St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Thomas served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. He retired after 35 years from Monsanto Chemical, Sauget, Ill., and was a member of the International Chemical Workers.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terrence Biggs; and his parents, Albert and Anne, nee Sekosky, Biggs.
Surviving are his wife, Doris J. Biggs, nee Burrows of Freeburg, Ill.; a son, Thomas L. (Pam) Biggs Jr. of Belleville, Ill.; a daughter, Cheryl L. Biggs of Freeburg, Ill.; his grandchildren, Christopher Biggs of Belleville, Ill., Thomas L. (Katie) Biggs, III of O'Fallon, Ill., and Tara Biggs of Carbondale, Ill. He was a beloved uncle.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Raymond Cook officiating. Entombment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
