William J. "Bill" Fisch, 64, of Fairview Heights, Ill., formerly of Collinsville, IL, born March 27, 1949, in Michigan City, Ind., passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 14, 2013, at his residence.
Bill graduated in 1967 from Elston Senior High School in Michigan City, Ind., and also attended Purdue University. He was a member of Pipefitters Local No. 597, working as a pipefitter for 44 years and he retired from Icon Mechanical as a senior estimator in Granite City, Ill. He was awarded numerous awards and recognitions in his craft. He was a member of Star and Ronin motorcycle clubs, and Great Lakers Auto Club in Michigan City, Ind. He loved traveling, cars, motorcycles, and being with his family. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father James Fisch; and a brother, John Fisch.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia E. "Patti"Fisch, nee Hughes, whom he married on Sept. 18, 1999; his mother, Margaret, nee Pries, Fisch of Michigan City, Ind.; a son, Joseph (Adrianne) Fisch of Lafayette, Ind.; three daughters, Jamie (Jim) Williams of Laporte, Ind., Kelli and Kristina Johnson, both of Collinsville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Kash, Serenity, Nate, Kasandra and Elyse; a brother-in-law, Durm (Vivian) Dolzadelli of Collinsville, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews.
