Charles Buskirk Sr.
Charles F. Buskirk Sr., 57, of Highland, Ill., born March 24, 1956, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Chuck earned his certification in diesel mechanics while in the Marines. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He retired from Granite City Steel after 35 years of service. Charles was an avid hunter, fisherman and biker. He went to Sturgis for 39 straight years. .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Dorothea March, nee Hunter Buskirk.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Lynn, nee Starin Buskirk; a daughter, Tina (Steven) Womack; a son, Charles "Bucky" (Courtney) Buskirk; grandchildren, Maci Broussard, Darwin Broussard, Emilyn Mueller, Lucas Buskirk, Justin (Brittany) Clark; two great grandchildren, Aubriana Yencho and Drake Clark; two brothers, Paul Buskirk and Donald Buskirk; a sister, Jamie Schmidt. Survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Donald Buskirk Jr., officiating. Private interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
