John Wazny Jr. passed away peacefully February 8, 2013. John was born to John Sr. and Velva Wazny in Auburn, Michigan March 6, 1925. John served our country honorably during WWII as a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corp, flying the fabled P-51 Mustang. After the war he attended General Motors Institute on the G.I. Bill, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering. Later in life he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from United States International University in San Diego. His professional career involved him in the automobile and aerospace industries, and concluded with self-employment in the Landscaping/Construction field. His form of relaxation was to continuously find ways of employing his engineering skills to enhance the lives of friends and family. John entered semi-retirement in 1979 with his loving wife of 63 years, Jeannine (Neena). He chose God's country (Whatcom County) as his country. His 87 years of life provided him with an abundance of memories. Memories which live on in the lives of all of us who survive him. John is preceded in death by his first wife Cecelia and son John III (Myrna). He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Wazny; brother, Bill Wazny; sisters, Shirley Sargeson and Betty Lewandowski; sons, Raymond (Kathleen) and Warren (Maggie); daughters, Marcia and Wendy (Bill); 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
