Karl Lloyd Swope, age 71, passed away at his home in Arizona on November 27, 2013. Karl was born in Bellingham, Washington, on March 10, 1942, and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1961. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War in 1967-68 in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Coleman Swope, his mother, Maybelle (Taylor) Swope, and his brother John Swope. He is survived by his children, Karl Lee Swope, Jeffery Scott Swope, Serena Dee Swope and grandchildren Jalen, Peyton, Colson, Emma, and Abriel Swope. He is survived by his siblings, Dick Swope, Demerse (Dee) (Swope) Rogers, Claudia (Swope) Rouse, and Clifford Swope. A memorial Service will be held in Bellingham, Washington, in the Summer of 2014.
