Richard Dean Hilton, age 78, passed away on April 1, 2014 as a result of a 2 year battle with cancer. Richard was born on July 10, 1935 in Klamath Falls, OR to Dr. James and Ethel Hilton. He was the youngest of 3 siblings, the oldest is Jean Eittreim of Coppell, TX and his brother Dr. Robert Hilton who passed away in 1979. He joined the Army in 1955 for 2 years, one spent in Korea. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor's Degree and went on to become a Banker for over 35 years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Bellingham. Richard moved to Bellingham in 1963 where he met and married his wife Judy Simenson of 48 years. They have one daughter, Helen Hilton of Lynden, WA. He lived in Bellingham for 30 years and then retired to Oak Harbor, WA where he resided for 11 years. He was a kind and generous man who will be missed.There will be no funeral service as he requested but a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
