Anthony Joseph

"Bull" Conti, 92

PITTSFIELD Anthony J. Conti passed on July 11, 2013. He was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in France during World War II and was discharged in 1946 after attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked with the City of Pittsfield Building Department for 13 years before accepting a position with the Pittsfield High Vocational School where he taught building trades for 14 years. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 68 in Pittsfield, Veterans' of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the Retired State and Municipal Employees Association. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Paul; Andy Conti, a brother; and Mary O'Brien, a sister. He leaves a daughter, Barbara Conti Hinkle (husband Phil) of Indianopolis; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Private memorial services have been planned.
