Dorothy "Dottie" Rogers

1955-2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Dottie Rogers, 58, of Leona Dr., passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 7, 2014. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on October 5, 1955 the daughter of Robert and Eleanor Boyle. She attended Immaculata College in Pennsylvania and earned her master's degree from Queens College in New York. Mrs. Rogers worked as a School Teacher and taught Home and Careers and Computer Science in the New Lebanon School District for 18 years, retiring in 2011. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Steven C. Rogers Sr. She is also survived by her two children, Kristin Rogers and Steven Rogers Jr. and his wife Meaghan; her mother, Eleanor Boyle; a sister, Ellen Ohliger and her husband Richard; a brother, Robert Boyle and his wife, Dorothy; her father-in-law, Cole Rogers; sisters-in-law, Susan McAdam and Sally Contess and a brother-in-law, Chuck Contess. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Mrs. Dottie Rogers will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield with the Rev. Richard Hayes, Chaplain of HospiceCare in the Berkshires, officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berkshire Hematology/Oncology, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
