Patricia Ann Faucett
1931 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Patricia A. Faucett, 81, of 232 Williams St., passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in Pittsfield on June 21, 1931, the daughter of Anthony James Lynch and Loretta King Lynch. Upon graduation from St. Joseph's High School, she received the 1949 Pittsfield
Service Above Self Award. She graduated from the former Pittsfield Secretary School.
She was secretary to the Manager of Underwater Ordinance Engineering at GE Naval Ordinance Department. She became private secretary to Berkshire Eagle Publisher, Donald B. Miller, and, in later years, to his brother Lawrence K. Miller, Eagle Editor.
Since 1960, she had served as a trustee on the board of Hancock Shaker Village under Mrs. Lawrence K. Miller, who began the restoration of the Village. She was trustee emeritus until her death. She also volunteered at the Norman Rockwell Museum.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Mrs. Faucett is survived by her husband, Dr. Frank M. Faucett, whom she married at Holy Cross Church in Kingston, Jamaica, British West Indies, in 1961 by a close Jesuit friend.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Palma Fleck, and by her dear friends, Maureen and David Quinlan.
She was predeceased by a brother, James Anthony Lynch, an Eagle
, who died in 1968.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside services for Patricia A. Faucett will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should meet inside the cemetery gates at 10:45 a.m.
