William L. Dalone

1929 - 2014 DALTON William L. Dalone, 84, of 13 Norwich Drive, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 10. 1929, son of Peter and Teresa (Sondrini) Dalone, he attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1947. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by the General Electric Company for 42 years, retiring from the Ordnance Dept. in 1992. He was a member of the Italian-American Club of Pittsfield and was a member of the Tuesday Night Pitch League, Wednesday Night Bocce League, and a former member of the Monday Night Men's Bocce League. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. Survivors include his wife, the former Shirley Manwarren, whom he married on Nov. 8, 1952; a daughter, Deborah Braheney and her husband, Michael, of Liverpool, N.Y.; a son, Gary Dalone and his wife, Debra, of Bethpage, Tenn.; one brother, John Dalone and his wife, JoAnn of Pittsfield; two grandchildren, Timothy and Kelley Braheney, and three step-grandchildren, Robert and Tommy Walling and Jennifer Dickinson.
