Arthur Coner Obituary
CONER, Arthur "Bird" Of Quincy, formerly of Beverly, died Friday, June 27th at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Arthur was born in Dorchester, graduated from Boston Technical High School and Salem State College. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran and received a Purple Heart among many other commendations. Arthur worked in the automobile industry at Davy Chevrolet, Means Chevrolet, and Thomas Ford. Son of the late Richard and Laura Coner. Arthur was a devoted father to Cristin (Coner) Canty and Kevin and Brian Coner. He is also survived by one sister and three brothers. Regina Folger of Dorchester, Richard of Salem, Joseph of Cohasset, Robert of Pembroke, and the late Paul Coner. He was also a loving grandfather to Quinn and Ciar?n Canty. A celebration of his life will be held at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, on Thursday, July 3 at 11:30 AM with a reception following. Relatives and friends are respectively invited.
