Obituary Condolences

DONAHER, Brian Patrick Age 75, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully at home, Friday, March 8, 2013. He was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston College High School, Class of 1955, and the College of the Holy Cross, Class of 1959. He later received Master's Degrees from Boston College and Harvard University. Brian taught classical languages, Latin and Greek, at Boston College High School for fifty-one years. He was well known and respected by his students and colleagues as a brilliant teacher and scholar. Brian devoted his life to his family and to Boston College High School. Beloved husband for forty-three years of Margaret L. "Marge" (Stapinski) Donaher. Devoted father of Patrick A. Donaher of Quincy and Luke E. Donaher and his wife Jennifer of Hartford, CT. Cherished son of the late Patrick J. & Mary (O'Connell) Donaher. Dear brother of Mary Ellen Anglewicz of Detroit, MI, Catherine Donaher of Brookline and Clare Donaher of Washington, DC. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, QUINCY, Wednesday, March 13th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, North Quincy at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home Tuesday 3 - 8 p.m. Interment at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian's memory may be made to the Brian P.
