1934 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
DOE, Dennis David 80, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on August 15, 2014. As he wished, he passed away in the comfort of his own home in Mashpee, Massachusetts with his wife Maura at his side. Dennis was born March 13, 1934 in Spirit Lake, Idaho to Harold and Vera Doe. After moving around various locations in northern Idaho with his family, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for three years during the Korean War. Afterwards, he attended the University of Idaho and then the University of Washington, graduating with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering in 1962. For 36 years, he served in management and computer engineering capacities for the Boeing Company in the Seattle area, Huntsville, Philadelphia, and northern Virginia. His interests included fishing, woodworking, home maintenance, and most importantly, worshipping with fellow Christian believers in the churches Maura and he attended. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Leona Zimmer of Priest River, Idaho, sister Beverly Revier of Plains, Montana, and brother Kenneth Doe of Rock Hill, South Carolina. His surviving brother is Raymond Doe of Wenatchee, Washington. He is also survived by his wife Maura Doe of Mashpee, Massachusetts, daughter Katherine Doe and granddaughter Emma of Seattle, Washington, son David Doe, daughter-in-law Sheila and granddaughters Elizabeth, Sarah, Rachel, and Rebecca of Colorado Springs, Colorado. A committal service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday August 22, 2014 at 10:45am. A celebration of his life will follow on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:30am.
