DWYER, Francis J. Frank Rooster Lieutenant Brookline Police Dept. (ret.) Of West Yarmouth, MA.,and Springvale, ME., formerly of Brookline on February 22, 2014. Born in Lynn, MA., and raised in Brookline where he lived most of his life. He attended Brookline Schools graduating from Brookline High School and Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. After his time in the Air Force, he joined the Brookline Police Dept. in 1967 and retiring as a Lieutenant in 1997. He was a member of the Norwood D.A.V. Post #90, the Norwood Post # 2452 V.F.W, American Legion Post #0019 Sanford, Sanford Lodge of Elks #1470, and the Yarmouth Moose Lodge # 2270. He survived by his loving children, John F. Dwyer and his wife Mary of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Carolyn J. Conti and her husband Scott of Walpole, Francis J. Sonny Dwyer Jr. of West Roxbury and Susan J. Dwyer of Hyde Park., his five cherished grandchildren, his longtime companion, Anita Pease of Springvale, ME. Predeceased by his parents, John F. and Esther M. (Johnson) Dwyer and his former wife Sandra J. (Bell) Dwyer. Funeral from the Bell-ODea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE, Monday morning at 9:10 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Sunday from 3 7. Interment Walnut Hills Cemetery.
