Kelley, Jr., Frank Norman "Skip" Age 71, of Newbury, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday evening, July 24, 2014, surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. He was the husband of Candace C. (Child) Kelley. Born in Lynn, August 21, 1942, Frank was the son of the late Frank N. Kelley and Jessie (Bray) Prescott and was a graduate of Worcester Trade School. A proud veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Army from September 21, 1962 until his honorable discharge on September 20, 1965 with the rank of Specialist 4th Grade. For more than 25 years, Skip owned and operated his own business, Skip Kelley Associates, providing exceptional home inspection services to his clients throughout the area. He was a longtime member and had served on the Board of the American Society of Home Inspectors and was the founder and first president of its Northern New England Chapter. He also served as mentor and teacher to many home inspectors in the area. Skip was enthralled with computers, always proclaiming how technology had helped him simplify many aspects of his business over the years. He and his wife, "Candi", enjoyed many wonderful years wintering at their home in Naples, Florida. In addition to his wife, Skip is survived by a daughter, Kathrine Lawson and her husband Graham of Byfield; two sons, Frank N. "Budd" Kelley, III and his wife Stephanie of Byfield; and Keith A. Kelley and his wife Margaret of Canterbury, NH; six grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Katelyn, Alyssa, Brendan and Eamon; his sister, Lyn Richardson and her husband, Bill, of Westfield; an aunt, Ethel Farmer of Beverly, along with a niece, Michelle Bormet, a nephew, David Cichaski and many dear friends. Visiting hours at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport will be Monday, July 28, 2014 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon, immediately followed by services at the funeral home and burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Newbury.
