Obituary Condolences

PINEDA, Gidelina (Lina) 28. Auburndale, MA - Lina died on February 3rd, 2013. She was the beloved daughter of Rhina Aristy of Roslindale and Gidel Pineda of Bani, Dominican Republic. Born in the Domincan Republic, Lina immigrated to Boston with her family. She served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, deploying to Iraq in 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lina was a valued member of the Department of Veterans' Services Statewide Housing and Advocacy for Reintegration and Prevention (SHARP) Team. She was deeply dedicated to serving Veterans, especially homeless Veterans. She is survived by her daughter Layla Calandrillo, her mother Rhina Aristy, father Gidel Pineda and sister Rhina Garcia as wellas extended family in Bani, Dominican Republic. Arrangements: Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, February 13th from 4-8pm at the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. Services to follow in Bani, Dominican Republic.
